The Government should take steps to create awareness among housewives of the present power crisis. Lights are switched on in many houses during day time and in late night hours, which can well be avoided. The TNEB should come forward to conduct workshops in residential localities in association with the local residents’ welfare associations to explain steps to be taken for preventing wastage of power and how it can be saved.
