Fight corruption

Inflation is a curse on the common man, who wallows in pity always and struggles to survive. Despite a large mass of rural poor trapped in the blighted cycle of poverty, malnutrition, disease and deprivation, the 2007 list of billionaires proves that India has the privilege of having 36 of its richest citizens in the world. If this rating goes on, the inflation rate will ever soar high. Blaming the ruling parties or to the global economy will never be a solution for the increasing inflation rates. We as, citizens, need to act against corruption, hoarding and black marketing.

S. VAISHNEVI KIRUBA,

Madurai.
