Kasturi Sreenivasan Trust presents the ninth art exhibition in the series of Kaleidoscope – 2008. Three artists from Chennai, P. Gopi, R. Achudhan and VL Chokkalingam will display and offer on sale their paintings, from August 6 to 10, at Kasturi Sreenivasan Art Gallery on Avanashi Road. Sathguru Shri Thyagaraja Gaana Nilayam Aadi Vellikkizhamai Mahotsavam will be held from August 8 to 10, at Dr. TV Sivananda Memorial Hall, Tatabad.

Silver Jubilee
Bharathi Park Ladies Association will hold its Silver Jubilee Annual Day celebrations on August 9 (Saturday), from 5 p.m. at Sri Narayana Guru Mission Hall in Sai Baba Colony. Murugasamy, inspector will be the chief guest, and Dr. G. Lakshmipathi will be the guest of honour.
The Association was formed on August 8, 1983. From just eight members, it has grown into a team today with 105 members. It has been involved in fund raising for charitable causes such as providing poor children medical and educational assistance. It is associated with the Exnora movement, and Project Parisutham is one of their activities.
The Association has also donated towards Kargil War Fund, Earthquake Relief Fund and Tsunami Relief Fund.
For this year, the Association has planned to focus on grooming a child’s health and personality, and cleaning up their area.
