For serenity Krishan Paruthi with his chakra glass candles

Whenever the good old ‘flower man’ Krishan Paruthi reappears for an exhibition, he has something new to attract the connoisseurs of art. The resident of Rohini who is famous for his flower work on transparent glasses and candles, has now made body chakra candles.

A set of seven such perfumed chakra candles and his his flower art pieces are on display at Press Club till August 6.

“These candles are made according to the body chakras and if you keep them at home, together they emanate fragrance that helps to develop a serene sense, says Paruthi.

Small perfection

On very small candles, coloured flowers are pasted and perfumed. For instance, Paruthi explains, for body chakra Ajha, which brings abundance, an indigo colour flower is pasted on the candle and it emanates lavender, fir and chamomile fragrance. For Visuddha chakara that brings positive energy, blue colour flower is pasted and it emanates rose fragrance. “These are also made at Institution of Flowers, which is run by only women and helps them make self reliant,” says Paruthi, who happens to be the man behind the NGO in Jaipur.

Paruthi’s glass works that come in sizes of 12x12, 15x21 inches are affordable. He has just made Krishna with flower petals on the glass too.
