A multimedia exhibition titled “The Demonic and the Divine” opens today in the city

Apparao Galleries and Prakriti Foundation organise a multi-media exhibition coinciding with “One Billion Eyes”, an Indian Documentary Film Festival, at the gallery (7, Wallace Gardens, III Street, Nungambakkam). The exhibition titled R
20;The Demonic and the Divine”, curated by Ranvir Shah, opens today and will be on till August 30.
The BBC film “Seeing Salvation” will be screened this evening at 6.30 p.m. and M. F. Husain’s “Of God and Men” on August 15, at 6.30 p.m. There will be an illustrated lecture on Kerala Goddesses by Balan Nambiar on August 15, at 7.30 p.m.
“The Demonic and the Divine” has been curated using art, film, artefacts and antiquities, coming from different tangents and converging at the exhibition.
The One Billion Eyes Festival will be held at the Alliance Française between August 15 and 19. A truncated version of the show will travel to New Delhi.
