Legendary Watch the career of Muhammed Ali chronicled on ESPN Star Sports

ESPN STAR Sports is all set to wow boxing enthusiasts this August by showcasing some of the greatest fights of the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.

The special series is going to showcase historical bouts of Muhammad Ali over the years. The special package includes 14 classic nerve wracking encounters between Ali and his counterparts.

Ali, famous for his fighting style of, "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee", was dreaded by his opponents. Till date, he is considered to be one of the greatest boxers in the heavyweight category, with the rare distinction of being the only man to have won the heavyweight world championship three times. Ali also has an Olympic Gold in the light heavyweight category.

Ali’s outspokenness and charismatic outlook earned him his most renowned nickname ‘The Greatest’. He was also honoured as the ‘Sportsman of the Century’ in 1999 by the Sports Illustrated and BBC.

Ali was a dominant heavyweight fighter of the 1960s and the 1970s. His fights were such a crowd puller that the fights also had their own names.

ESPN STAR Sports in an attempt to commemorate Ali’s legacy, brings together a bouquet of his exciting encounters like the famous ‘The Rumble in the Jungle’, ‘The Thriller in Manila’ and so on.

Ali’s fight with the fellow boxers like Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Chuck Wepner, Sonny Liston, Henry Cooper, Leon Spinks etc will also be showcased in the Muhammad Ali special series on ESPN through the month at 9 p.m.
