Thilakan in ‘Orkkuka Vallappozhum’

Thilakan is doing a key character in a film to be directed by Sohanlal, a promising artiste, who made the beautiful ‘Neermaathalathinte Pookkal’, a telefilm about poetess Kamala Das. To be called ‘Orkkuka Vallappozhum’, Thilak an plays the character of a 75 year old.

The thespian has not been getting characters commensurate to his potential. He has been voicing his protest against this for sometime now. This character may yet bring out the best in him. For the role promises much emotion, which calls for great histrionic talent.

Shilpabala, a new face, plays the heroine. The filming of the movie, produced by Vinu Y.S for God’s Own Moviz, will begin in September at Kuttikkanam. Music is by M.Jayachandran. One of P Bhaskaran’s poems can be heard in the movie. The story is narrated in a nostalgic mood wherein the age old Sethumadhavan makes feeble attempts to return to the innocence of his past.
