Refined execution

From the kitschy array of props on stage to the poignant music snaking its way into the play, from the unreserved sensuousness of the characters to the charged yet restrained physicality of the actors, everything about “The Suit” was prec ise and incisive. Not a single action, dialogue or moment of silence seemed redundant or insignificant to the focal point of the intense play.

What made “The Suit” remarkable was the performance and poise of the actors who transitioned brilliantly from being an ardently loving couple into bitter strangers tormented by guilt, jealousy and the trauma of causing pain to a loved one.

Psychologically penetrating in purpose and refined in execution, the play rounded off The Hindu-MetroPlus Theatre Fest 2008 as no other play in this edition could have done.
