For kids, by kids

A mini marathon supported by PEDAHS and World Vision India will be organised on August 15 to ‘Say No To Child Labour’. Around 1,500 school children from across the city will participate in the run which will be flagged off at 6.30 a.m. Th e run starts at the Madras Christian College Main Gate, Tambaram and the prize distribution function will be held at the quadrangle, opposite the administrative building, on the college campus.

After the marathon, children will participate in the flag hoisting ceremony in the college which will be followed by the prize distribution ceremony at 8.30 a.m. An interesting part of the event is that children who were formerly child labourers, and were rescued and rehabilitated by World Vision will take part in the marathon and also talk about their experiences.
