Arts and Crafts Exposition
It is exhibition time, and this time 50 crafts people from different states in India will showcase their craft at Gangothri, Rajaji Road, from today. Kantha sarees from Bengal, Ikkat from Orissa, Rajastani outfits from Jaipur, Pochamnpalli fabric and
dress materials from Andhra Pradesh, Punjab’s phulkari, Mangalgiri are just some of the sarees available. As far as handicrafts go, patachitra and tussar paintings from Orissa , traditional and modern appliqué patch work, wooden articles from Saharanpur, semi-precious jewellery from Rajasthan, one gram gold jewellery and rudraksha are just some of the interesting things available.
The prices of handloom products such as sarees start from Rs.300, salwars and dress materials start from Rs. 250.
The prices of handicrafts and gift articles start from Rs. 30 to Rs. 10,000.
The exhibition offers 20 per cent discount on Handlooms and 10 per cent discount on handicrafts.
The exhibition concludes September 8.
