Alternative rock Skrat
Lounge Piranha is on a tour to launch its album “Going Nowhere” and Chennai is part of its many stops. Hear this progressive/psychedelic band today at Unwind Center for the Live 1o1 series at 7 p.m. Watch out for goodies such as the new album, T-shirts and posters.
Two other people are playing at Unwind Center that night — Jaspreet Kaur, a acoustic/soul/lounge singer/songwriter from the U.K.; and SKRAT, a three-piece alternative rock band which won the best Acoustic Band at the Underground 2008 competition, and individual prizes for the rock category too. Sriram (guitar/vocals), Tapas Naresh (drums/percussion) and Sathish Narayan (bass/backing vocals) make up the band.
