DIVERSE FLAVOURS One of the dishes at the food festival
A South East Asian Food Festival is on till November 30 at The Raintree at Lemongrass, its Chinese restaurant. Chef Kroongthana who has been specially flown in from Thailand for this fest prepares Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Malaysian an
d Singaporean delicacies. Start with soups of which there is an amazing vegetarian and non-vegetarian variety.
For vegetarians there is a choice of dishes — Larb Hed, Tao Hoo Gang Kiew Wan Chop Suey Manila Mi Xa Voi Gia, Tofu Saigon, Com Chay, Tahu Goring Kacang, Nasi Goring and more. Non-vegetarians can enjoy dishes such as Pla Sam Rod, Gaeng Kari Gai, Gaeng Khea Wan, Nem Gayo and Ca Uop Xa. There’s also a live counter where visitors can view, choose and taste a variety of dishes.
Dinner is not complete without a visit to the dessert section that features delicacies such as Tub Tim Krob, Woon Kati, Bingka Suji, Cambodia Boua Loy, Num tirk doung and Kalabasa Leche Flan.
