THE PRESIDENT IS COMING

Debutant Kunaal Roy Kapur adapts his popular play by the same title. The film explores a day in the life of ten contestants who are supposed to represent India in front of the US President. Konkona Sen Sharma plays one of the contestants, who will represent the new emerging India in front of the President. It was supposed to release with Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! but its release was postponed because of the Mumbai terror attack.

Cinema goes young with this tale of a host of newcomers and wannabe stars with the veteran Rajesh Khanna. Sneha ‘Lucky’ Ullal seeks to capitalise on her familiarity with Aishwarya Rai again opposite newcomer Kumar Sahil. Directed by Tharun Kumar, known for musical love stories, Kaashh…is a low key release.

This is not the kind of film you would find families driving down to see in droves. A comedy where the lowest common denominator is stretched, director Varun Khanna’s film stars popular veejay Gaurav Kapoor alongwith Hrishitaa Bhatt, Archana Puran Singh, Govind Namdeo and other familiar names.
