The MetroPlus Playwright Award 2009 carries a prize of Rs. 1 lakh for the best English script, which is original, unpublished and unperformed. We received 74 valid entries from all over the country. The judges longlisted 11 plays from which they s hortlisted three. Below, a snapshot of the three playwrights and their entries.
