Ugadi Utsav

DakshinaChitra, Muttukadu, will celebrate Ugadi Utsav, the Telugu New Year, in traditional style from March 14 to March 22, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding Tuesday.

The nine-day festival will showcase the culture of Andhra Pradesh with dappu dance, a folk performance, handicrafts and cuisine of the region.

The craft shop will have an array of textiles. Specially designed block printed mangalgiri saris, kalamkari and ikat fabric, toys and artefacts from Andhra Pradesh will be on display.

In addition, a variety of Andhra delicacies will be served at Kanali, the restaurant at DakshinaChitra.
