More fun

As summer approaches, there is some good news for Delhiites who want to escape from the scorching heat — Fun ‘n’ Food Village has re-opened after four months. With the addition of many new entertainment games, this renovated water park is all set to host visitors.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Salikh Inagamov was the chief guest at the re-opening event.

He said, “It is a pleasure to be here. India and Uzbekistan share a great relationship. I would take this opportunity to request Indian companies to invest more in my country.”

Balwant Chawla, Director, Polo Amusement Park and the caretaker of Fun ‘n’ Food Village, said, “We are working hard to give a complete new look before the Commonwealth Games begin in Delhi.”

He also gives an interesting view about the effect of recession on water sports and the amusement business. “According to some survey, Disney water parks in Japan and a few other countries are doing better business since the recession started. If there is less work because of recession, people have more time, so they rush to amusement parks with families.”

Fun ‘n’ Food Village is a good place to chill during the summer. The water park has fantastic slides and blue pools for patrons to splash about.

There is also a dedicated children’s area with shallow water, kiddie’s slides and fountains.

Besides, it has a food court offering a delicious variety.
