Who’ll wear the crown?

Hope floats The finalists of the contest

The ninth edition of the Miss Chennai contest and the third edition of Chennai Man are around the corner. Contestants for the Miss Chennai contest should be in the age group of 17 and 25, while those in the Men’s category should be between 19 and 27 years of age. The winners will represent India at National and International pageants.

Twelve participants have been chosen for the finals in both events after the preliminary rounds and training. One wildcard entry will be allowed too. The event, open to youngsters across Tamil Nadu, will showcase talent, personality skills, communication ability and style quotient, thereby providing a platform for aspiring youngsters in music, dance, drama, fashion, media, television and cinema.

The show will be telecast on Star Vijay as a reality programme for 11 weeks (one-hour duration each).

The event has been conceived and produced by VIBA and the branding sponsor is Vivel.

Some sections of the contest are open to the public. If you are musically inclined and love to compose jingles, you could take part in Univercell’s one-minute jingle contest and compose a unique jingle for the Miss Chennai and Chennai man contests. This jingle will be made into a video too, and winners will be featured on Star Vijay and take home prizes.

If you are a designer, you could design this year’s crown. All you have to do is sketch your design on an A3 sheet with required embellishments and send it to VIBA. The creator of the best design will win a designer trophy.

And, finally, you can frame a brilliant final question. The top three questions will be posed to all finalists. The winners of this contest will take home a special prize.
