Director Priyadarshan, after a long while, makes a movie that is not a comedy caper. Starring Prakash Raj as a silk weaver who takes to communism, the film is about the growth of the movement in the silk town. And about how the weavers, who craft beautiful silk saris, cannot afford it themselves. Shriya Reddy plays Prakash Raj’s wife.

Urvashi excels as Molamma, a long-suffering middle-class wife, in this family entertainer from veteran director Venu Nagavalli. Jagathy Sreekumar also excels as her adulterous husband. Mukesh, Padmapriya, Harisree Ashokan, Thilakan, Jyothirmayi and Sukumari don supporting roles. Music is by Alex Paul.

Director Baz Luhrmann (of ‘Moulin Rouge’ fame) returns with this epic romance film set in the Australia of World War II. Nicole Kidman stars as an English aristocrat who inherits a cattle station called Faraway Downs. Hugh Jackman is a cattle ‘drover’ who falls in love with her.
