Walking the ramp to raise funds
|
International model Naomi Campbell will walk the ramp at ‘Mai Mumbai,’ (I am Mumbai), a fashion show organised to help victims of the 26/11 blasts in Mumbai. The show is part of The Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Fall-Winter ’09.
‘Mai Mumbai’ will bring together international and Indian fashion designers, who will showcase their creations on one runway with some of the best models from India along with Bollywood stars, sports stars, and prominent social and business leaders. Vikram Chatwal, US-based hotelier, will present the show on the eve of opening his hotel. Campbell’s ‘Fashion for Relief’, formed in 2005 to galvanize the creativity and generosity of the fashion community in times of need will contribute to the victims.
She is organising the show in association with LFW, and will be the show stopper for the ‘by invitation only’ ‘Mai Mumbai’ show today.
