Feel-good tunes

The audio of “Sooriyan Sattakkalluri” was launched recently

ALBUM, A MIXED PACKAGE At the audio launch of “Sooriyan Sattakkalluri”

The who’s who in the Tamil film industry had all gathered for the audio launch of the film “Sooriyan Sattakkalluri.”

The CD was released by Rama. Narayanan, president, Tamil Film Directors’ Council.

It was received by some of the guests who were present along with Radha Ravi of Nadigar Sangam. Lakshmi Movie Makers’ K.Muralidharan, Roja Combines’ Kaja Moidheen, artists and technicians were also present.

“Sooriyan Sattakkalluri” has been produced by Sivasakthi Pandian and directed by R. Pavan. Deva has scored the music.

All the songs have been penned by Kabilan, except one which has been written by director Pavan. The music, by and large, makes you feel good.

The best song in the album is ‘Guru Brahmma, Guru Vishnu’, rendered excellently by Hariharan and Sadhana Sargam. ‘Kalaai Kalaai’, sung by Udit Narayanan and Janani is also good. However, one can’t help wondering why Udit has not worked on his Tamil diction, despite being in the field for so many years.

‘Kadhal Panna Poriya’ is a typical Deva number. ‘Makki Makki’ rendered by Nirthiya and ‘Theeka Theeka’ written by Pavan and sung by Madurai Chinna Ponnu are catchy.

The last track is an instrumental version of ‘Guru Brahmma…. Guru Vishnu’.
