Mixed sizzler

Before international cuisine became a mantra, the sizzler was once the top (if not the only) continental experience for foodies in the city. Succulent, marinated chicken breast, chunks of mutton, liver, bacon and sausage and are all heaped on to a piping hot sizzler tawa layered with a cabbage leaf.

Huge chunks of cauliflower, carrots, beans and a whole tomato also go into the fray. A special sizzler sauce and dollops of butter are poured over the hot tawa. Hence, the sizzling, smoke and flavour that make sizzlers so dramatic. Take care not to burn your tongue before you attack it with gusto.
