The Oxford Bookstore completes two years in the city and as a ‘thank you’ gesture to its patrons, it organises some interesting programmes

Oxford Bookstore on Trichy Road, has been in town for two years. And, it looks back on its eventful and happening time in Coimbatore.
In that short span the bookstore has organised celebrity visits, book reviews, book launches, meet the author sessions, poetry sessions, jazz, contests, social awareness events and of course our weekly activities for its young readers.
To say thank you to its patrons, without whom the store may not have survived in these times, Oxford organises a series of events.
Starting today (May 11) there will be two week long sale. Every item in the store will have a discount. And, some of the stock will be up for grabs at cost price.
There will also be an Ice Tea Festival at Cha Bar. Take your pick from 15 varieties of Ice Tea which will be served there, along with the regular goodies.
On May 16 Pepita Seth, author of the internationally acclaimed book, Heaven on Earth, Kerala’s Guruvayur Temple will be at the store where you can meet her.
On May 23 will be the Book Quiz 2009 for book lovers.
