MALABAR FISH CURRY

To the heated coconut oil in a pan is added saunf, fenugreek seeds, jeera. When they crackle, onion dices, small onion, garlic paste, curry leaves, slit green chillies are sauted till the onion turns golden brown in colour.

Next turmeric, chilli, coriander powder are sauted and chopped tomatoes, tamarind pulp, water is added. It is allowed to boil till the raw flavour of masala evaporates. Then sliced fish is added and simmered till the fish is done.

Garnished with coriander leaves and served hot with boiled rice.
