Mango Utsav at the Leela, Kovalam

Mango delight For those with a sweet tooth
Celebrate the mango season at The Leela, Kovalam with the ‘Mango Utsav.’ Corporate pastry chef Avijit Ghosh, who trained at the renowned Le Notre pastry school in Paris, whips up a range of dishes inspired by the succulent mango.
The ‘Trio of Mango’ has caramelised Kalamadi mango parfait, mango crème brule and mango panna. ‘Alphonso mango and tender coconut Bavarois,’ which is an apricot and coconut reduction and coconut tuille, brings the flavour of fresh coconut into the dessert.
For lovers of cheesecake, there is the ‘Badami mango and Philadelphia cheesecake’ served with mango basil salsa. The fresh ‘Alphonso mango and almond tart’ is served with mango berry chutney and vanilla bean sauce.
For an Italian taste there is ‘Alphonso mango tiramisu and Pistachio biscotti.’ Ice-cream lovers, be not disheartened, the ‘Triple mango sundae’ made with mango ice cream, banana caramel ice-cream and mango-papaya compote, will send you straight to dessert heaven.
