It is a small nondescript shop, a little to the left of the Vadakenada of Sreepadmanabha Swamy Temple. By 11 a.m. there is a small group of people waiting impatiently for the owner, Shyamala. As soon as she comes in she is deluged by demands for butt ermilk (‘masala moru’) and unniappams. The home-made unniappams remind you of the ones made by grandmothers – soft, sweet with a hint of cardamom and cooked well. Each costs Rs. 3. Contact: 3208765
