Fun options galore The add-ons have magic effect on Youngistan

Suffused with zany ideas of their own harebrained world, the youth brigade is going bonkers over add-ons of the ‘ever growing in popularity’ social networking site Facebook. Even while obsession over its features like chatting, posting pictures and changing status messages is intact, the latest option of a random fun quiz, each one wackier and weirder than the other, is attracting new browsers.

A user can create a quiz and post it on the site for others to try it. It is sheer fun that triggers a chain effect. If you are taking the quiz it means that most of your friends on your list will also take it. Compare the answers with your friends and have a good laugh over it. The social quizzing platform has created a common ground for fun-lovers eager to feast on some ‘cool’ entertainment.

For a good laugh

Tushar has just finished 12th standard and has lots of free time. “These quizzes are fun way to spend vacations. Once I took it and loved the comments of my friends. We all had a good laugh. The silliest ever was the one which asked: “What’s your geek level?” The answer was –Neither geeky nor rebellious, you’re an over all nice guy! “Wish my mom heard that.”

Quizzes that toss queries like how much of your brain do you utilize or how smart are you on a scale of 1-10, or what part of your body should you shower first, what tyrannical dictator are you, what kind of a jack ass are you or are you a nerd, geek or dork or else, what kind of girl should you date can catch you off guard. Some of them may be shockers: “Are you gay. If yes, what kind of girls/guys do you attract?”

Saurabh, a fun-loving techie, wanted to kill time during lunch break and so opted for the best option available at hand. He took a quiz on “when will you die!!” The answer gave enough reason for him to laugh at least for the next 15 minutes. “The date that popped out on the screen was October 19th, 2008. This is 2009 and I am still alive!” he breaks into a guffaw.

“Facebook is accessible even from my mobile. I keep posting on the site when I am on the move,” says Sahiba, a young mom, adding: “No matter in whichever part of the world I am in, I make it a point to stay connected with my close friends.”

A set of queries on how well you know a person can at times land you in trouble. Dimple opted for this one to know how well she understands her husband. And the answer was 100%. But Ankit was not so lucky while trying to impress his girl Aarti. The result said ‘25%’ and the boy fervently wishes he hadn’t tried the quiz in the first place. “Aarti is so upset. She says her friends know her better than I do,” rues Ankit.
