Discovery Travel and Living has a host of gastronomic shows
|
goddesses all Kylie Kwong, Nigella Lawson and Rachel Allen will stir up a storm
In an attempt to redefine the food genre on Indian television and to bring exquisite cuisine and fine dining experiences to the viewers, Discovery Travel and Living has launched a series of shows featuring popular chefs and food experts from across the world. The shows will be presented by celebrity chefs Kylie Kwong, Nigella Lawson and baking expert Rachel Allen.
The series will feature shows that are unique in presentation and style and will make an attempt to provide travelogues for food lovers.
As Rajiv Bakshi, Marketing head, Discovery Networks, Asia-Pacific says, “Food is an important component of lifestyle. People want to try out good food from across the planet. These shows will help viewers dish out these dishes in their own kitchen.” Food will be the main component and the series will offer different cuisines ranging from baked products and baking tips from Rachel, Chinese cuisine by Kylie and delectable summer treats prepared by Nigella.
The shows will be aired at 10 p.m. “Rachel Allen Bake” will be screened at 10 p.m. on Saturdays and will include a tour through the baking world with Rachel Allen. As The show will also include Rachel whipping up baked delights, touring different parts of the world to learn more about the different baking techniques and products from master bakers.
Nigella Lawson will showcase a mix of easy recipes that can be eaten anytime in the series “Forever Summer with Nigella” airing every Friday at 10 p.m.
Nigella will move out of the kitchen and make an attempt to add her culinary style to picnics and barbeques with a range of puddings, that shall be a promising accompaniment to a summer meal.
Kylie Kwong will guide viewers through the components of simple Chinese cooking, travelling to China for inspiration and touring the cities of Shanghai and Hong Kong and discovering more culinary delights in the process.
“Kylie Kwong: Simply Magic” on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. will talk about the allure of home cooked Chinese food.
