BUN HALWA

Irrespective of whether you are a sweet toothed or not, you will definitely fall for this item which serves both as an appetiser and a starter. An entire loaf of bread goes into its making with liberal use of milk, ghee and sugar.

Small pieces of bread are fried in hot ghee. Milk and sugar are poured over it and stirred continuously till a rich consistency is attained. Cashew nuts and raisins are added at the end.
