Fresh aroma A place to relax and enjoy the food
Tired of seeing the lifeless vegetables served on your table? Here’s a place that serves you dishes made from vegetables procured directly from vegetable farms and meat and fish cuts and made ready for consumption only after it is inspected per
sonally by the chef.
The place to try is Alchemy, the latest restaurant opened at Ellaa Suites, Gachibowli. The glass walls with uniform streams of water trickling down can’t be missed as one drives towards the porch of the hotel. The vegetables and fruits are all supplied by farm house owners who grow vegetables and fruits in nearby areas.
Outside the restaurant stands an old wooden boat. Next to it is a small sit-out which gives out mists. The tiny water body circling the sit-out has lotuses blooming and many small fishes swimming in it. “The fishes were introduced to keep a check on the mosquitoes that can breed in the water,” says Rawoof, vice-president-F&B Operations.
A foodie himself, Rawoof, has rich experience of working in several five star hotels, “Our parents were known for hosting best parties and banquets. Our household used to serve authentic Hyderabadi food, I was in the food business myself and I have tried my best to bring that flavour to the restaurant,” he says.
Alchemy serves Polynesian and continental food. And the speciality of this food is the presentation, the sauces and that the food variety ranges from being most bland to most being spiciest. Food from places like Tahiti, Somawa and other tiny islands goes into making the Polynesian cuisine. Mostly rice and noodle based, the cuisine makes use of fruit-based gravy.
The interiors of the restaurant are meant to make the guests relax totally while they eat.
The seating is not crowded and the lighting effect is done in a way to suit eye.
Lots of things are to be tried here for starters one can begin with the mushroom aloha, it is made of mushroom stuffed with cheese and batter fried. One can also try the shrimp tonga or the Balimbi. The presentation of the food is something to be watched out for.
The place also serves special cocktails. And most them are white-rum based. The ones the bar tender suggests are volcano, Maitai and Rain killer. Another USP of the place are the desserts. They are mostly fruit or dry-fruit based and served in decorated coconut shells.
