The mango season will soon be over. While there are varieties of mangoes, the neelam mangoes are a perennial favourite. Neelam mangoes are perfect for the recipe ‘Mango Fool.’

(Requires six mangoes)

Ingredients

Sugar: two tsp (or to taste)

Milk: half a glass

Water: two tbsp

Powdered cardamom: three to four

Method

Peel mangoes and deseed. Crush and add this and other ingredients in a mixie. Makes a delicious drink.

If you prefer a non-sweet mango drink, mix the crushed mangoes with buttermilk, a pinch of salt and hing, a green chilly and a piece of ginger in the mixie.

Add water depending on how light you want the drink to be.
