In the fast lane

After lending more power to the biking scene in India and fulfilling the racing aspirations of bikers with successful models such as YZF-R15 and FZ series, Yamaha introduces another international trend to the Indian market with the launch of the R 16;Racing Kit’ parts by Daytone.

According to Sanjay Tripathi, division head, Product Planning and Brand Management, India Yamaha Motor, “Racing Kit parts have been developed using the experience gained from Moto GP & World Superbike racing and Yamaha wants to provide its customers in India with the same thrill of racing instinct. At the same time, we want to encourage safe racing culture. Racing power up kits along with racing championship, touring apparel and accessories are an integral part of our brand image.”

The kit is developed by Yamaha Engineering Corporation and Daytone in Japan. The kit includes race ECU, high lift cams, full exhaust system, special allow sprockets, adjustable back steps and braking parts such as big diameter petal disc brakes, master cyclinder and stainless steel hose.

The kit will be available from September this year.
