Shanghai tidings

Director Arun Vaidyanathan is a happy man. His “Achchamundu! Achchamundu” was screened to good response at the Shanghai International film festival.

“After the show, the audience gave a standing ovation. Among them was Danny Boyle of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame,” he says.

The film, both the Telugu and Tamil versions, are slated for a July 10 release.

In Tamil Nadu, the film will see a 100 per cent digital release. The Prasanna-Sneha starrer also stars Emmy award winner John Shea in a prominent role, and is India’s first Red One feature film.
