Give them space

In this new era of technology and fast food, children are growing up fast, both physically and mentally. Due to parental pressure to perform well, and the need to be recognised amongst peers and in social circles, the child has to be an all-rounder. He is shunned if he/she is just ‘normal’. Enjoying childhood has become a thing of the past. The seeds of competition are sown in their minds at a very tender age. Thus, the child loses innocence and starts doing things much beyond his / her age. It is our duty as parents, teachers and elders to help these buds blossom at their own pace.
