Make a mark in fashion designing

Love designs and patterns, but no idea where to start? Here’s what you can do. The Academy of Fashion and Textile Technology (AFTT) offers diploma / PG diploma / certificate courses in fashion, pattern making, embroidery, and CAD / CAM. It aims to provide skills and understanding of the principles of design, construction, decoration and development.
The Academy, an integrated college of design, management and technology, offers platforms such as fashion shows, and promotional campaigns. The courses are developed for candidates who possess a flair for design and good communication / writing skills in English. The course aims to provide an integrated approach to fashion product development, retailing etc. Any individual with basic qualification can take up the course.
The diploma courses are offered in fast track (four to six months) as two-hour batches from Monday to Friday. The weekend batches are held on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for six to eight months. Classes for fresh batches begin on November 5.
