Fright night

Thrills and spills True Blood returns

“True Blood” returns for a new season. Based on the popular novel by Charlaine Harris “The Southern Vampire Mysteries - Living Dead in Dallas”, the series has Anna Pacquin as Sookie Stackhouse, the perky telepathic waitress in love with the attractive vampire, Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). In this season, the mystery surrounding a serial killer is solved in the backwoods of the Louisiana town of Bon Temps. But just as things are settling down, deadly new twists threaten Sookie and everyone around her.

Season 2 of TrueBlood is scary and often wildly funny, with all the supernatural trappings to boot. The new season not only takes the love story forward with the demonic and ‘bloodcurdlingly’ dark funny twists, but also introduces sub-plots involving the anti-vampire Fellowship of the Sun Church; Sookie’s slow-witted brother Jason’s indoctrination into the church; expanded role of Maryann Forrester, the powerful supernatural creature, who gradually gains control over the people of Bon Temps. True Blood will be aired every Sunday after the 9 p.m. movie on HBO. There is a repeat telecast every Saturday at 7 p.m.
