Zentrum of attraction

Goethe- Zentrum, Coimbatore is organising a series of competitions in creative writing, painting and games, for schoolchildren in the city.

The theme is to recreate fairy tales of India and Germany.

Up to a 1000 participants are expected to participate from almost 35 schools in the region.

On account of Children’s day, Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust presents a painting exhibition by children in the series Spectrum 2009.

Shilpa and Shikha, from class 8 and class 5 respectively, are sisters who will showcase their works at the exhibition.

The sisters have been recognised with scholarships and awards at both national and state levels, and enjoy painting, music, clay modelling, and so on. They hail from Trivandrum, Kerala. For further details, call 0422-257 4110.

Rasa – the Boutique and Hobby Studio, is organising a series of events to celebrate Children’s day.

On November 13, children between ages 4-6 can enjoy story-telling using puppets. On November 14, children between ages 6-9 will make their own puppets and participate in story-telling. On November 15, children will get involved in baking and decorating cookies.
