An art mela at Vinnyasa

Over 500 paintings by over 100 well-known artists from across the country are on display till December 31 as part of Vinnyasa Premier Art Galery's annual show, Art Mela.

Viji Nagashwaran, founder and owner of the gallery said, “Our primary objective, when we set up Vinnyasa, was to ensure that every artist here had the opportunity to showcase his or her work, which would help him grow and evolve. We wanted to bridge the divide between art and the buyer, by making it within the reach of the common man.” Art Mela is an exhibition-cum-sale, displaying paintings, prints and sculptures of varied sizes. There is something for the novice as well as the connoisseur. The works are priced at Rs. 50 onwards.

Vinnyasa is located at CIT Colony, Mylapore. The exhibition is open on all days, between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. till December 31.
