Ring in the New Year in Singapore

It's that time of the year again when the holiday spirit is at an all-time high. And, the island nation of Singapore offers beautifully-lit streets, festive concerts, theatre and night-long parties, and more till January 2, 2010. The festive cheer begins at Changi Airport and spreads island-wide through hotels, restaurants, shopping outlets and streets.

For shopping, check out the ION Orchard, which has over eight levels of shopping space. The grand Esplanade hosts performances and music concerts and visitors can pen their wishes on the Bell Charms along the Esplanade. And, there's also the option of a romantic dinner near the Esplanade, with Christmas carols and candle lights.

The Mint Museum of Toys and the Singapore Zoo also have special treats for children and adults.
