This dubbed sequel to the Telugu box office hit Arya stars Allu Arjun as Arya, an orphan who is extremely possessive about his childhood buddy Ajay (Navdeep). Ajay, who is now a software baron, finds Arya to be a nuisance. Kajal Agarwal stars as Geetha, the co-worker that they both fall in love with. Arya has to pretend to be Mr. Perfect to get on everybody's good side.

This Karan Johar film has been raking in the moolah and accolades for the sensitivity with which it deals with the issue of Islam in a changing world and a protagonist with Asperger's Syndrome. Shah Rukh Khan is said to have come up with the role of his lifetime playing Rizwan Khan. An effervescent Kajol plays his wife, and the two make for an endearing pair.
