Mandarin Trail pleases diverse palates
|
Mandarin Trail, the Chinese cuisine restaurant at Great India Place, Noida, is a felicitous place to douse one's Chinese cravings. Dim lights, soothing music and swishing chopsticks: Enter the plush ambience of Mandarin Trail, and your senses are overwhelmed with the aroma of tantalising Oriental delicacies.
Offering a large variety, the Mandarin Trail claims to retain the original tastes and recipes. “Even the sauces are directly imported from China,” says Pradeep Kumar, manager of the restaurant.
The non-vegetarian platter has more than 70 dishes of poultry, lamb, prawn, lobster, pork and fish. Likewise, the vegetarian menu has more than 80 options. “To start with soups is the Chinese way of enjoying the meal,” explains Jimmy Pradhan, Senior Sous Chef. Crispy conjee lamb, sweet and sour pork, stir fried shredded chicken, dried chilli, Thai cashew chicken, prawns in spicy garlic sauce, dry cooked Shanghai potato, lotus stem honey chilli are some of the specialities.
Broccoli and corn with red chilli sauce dolled up in pokchoy, asparagus in black pepper is great for the hot weather. Snacks include veg, non-veg hakka noodles, braised fat vegetable noodles, snow peas and garlic fried rice among others. Scrumptious desserts include date pancake with ice-cream, toffee apple, mandarin cheesecake, etc.
Besides, there are the mocktails — Blue Margaret and Green River to name just two — and cocktails. Mojito tops the shelf, a choate blend of berries, citrus and alcoholic beverages.
