Bald truths about hair
Men cannot afford to be careless about their crowning glory
M ore than women, it is very important for men to have good hair, good hair cuts and styles since they do not have the luxury of make-up to enhance their looks. So it is important to care for your hair and nourish it. One of the biggest fears of many men is going bald.
But it is best not to worry about your hair or stress yourself about it. Do your meditation and stay relaxed. Just follow a healthy lifestyle. Ensure you drink plenty of fluids (at least eight to 10 glasses of water every day), have two helpings of fruits and vegetables in your meals and include proteins, especially fish in your diet.
And it goes without saying, stay positive – in thoughts, words and action, exercise regularly and get sufficient sleep.
The causes for baldness could be hereditary, hormones or age. Of late, it is due to lifestyle, pollution and chemicals in the water. Unfortunately hair loss, which causes baldness, is of a permanent nature. It doesn't grow back since with age the process of re-growth of hair is very slow or non-existent.
Certain medicines could trigger off loss of hair. So think twice before you pop in painkillers, anti-histamines, cough syrups and so on.Apply a little oil before you go to bed and wash off in the morning. Hair grows faster in the night. But do go and visit a good doctor to rule out any medical conditions that could be causing hair loss.
Since there is no cure for baldness, surgical hair replacement or transplant, which is comparatively a low risk procedure, can give you back a head of your own hair.
But men of today meet baldness head on and sport a clean shaven head, which is a fashion statement in itself!
