The usually staid English film channel segment is suddenly showing some turbulence with Pix deciding to take on the segment leaders, HBO and Star Movies.
After showcasing hits like “Slumdog Millionaire” and “This Is It”, the channel has now acquired the much-acclaimed “The Hurt Locker” and “District 9”.
In an attempt to attract the eyeballs, the channel has taken a special initiative called Pix Movie Club, where students can watch the latest Hollywood film at a theatre at affordable rates.
“Subtitling of movies has also played a vital part in promoting Hollywood movies in India. ” say officials.
