Tapioca-chicken kozhukkatta

Ingredients

Tapioca: 500 gm

Rice flour [puttu podi]: 50gm

Salt: to taste

Chicken mince: 200 gm

Chopped onion: half cup

Chopped ginger /garlic: 1 tsp

Minced green chillies: 3

Curry leaves: a few

Chilli powder: 1 tsp

Turmeric powder: a pinch

Garam masala: a pinch

Oil to stir-fry chopped onion

Method

Boil tapioca in salted water. Strain and mash well. Add to rice flour and make into a smooth dough.

Then make small evenly sized balls. Keep aside.Heat the oil in a frying pan and stir-fry onion, ginger-garlic, green chillies and curry leaves. Add the spices and the minced chicken. Cook well on a slow flame.

Adjust seasoning and turn off the heat. Stuff the chicken mixture carefully inside the balls till all the balls are stuffed thus.

Then cook them on a steamer for 10 minutes. Serve hot with mint chutney.
