DOWN NOSTALGIA LANE Nargis and Raj Kapoor in "Chori Chori"

Serene melodies and glorious yesteryear moments…the concert ‘Gaata Rahe Mera Dil' revolves around the theme “Early Gems from the Golden Era. The show to be held on June 18, 7 p.m. at Kamarajar Arangam, is presented by the Divine Mother Society, and features Hindi film hits from the Fifties, with a few from the Forties and the Sixties. Hits by Mohammed Rafi, Hemant Kumar, Kishore Kumar, Talat Mehmood, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Noor Jehan and Shamshad Begum will be presented.

The artistes who will perform are Anil Bajpai and Priya Panchal from Mumbai, Ganesh and Nagachandrika Bhat from Bangalore, Jaya Rajagopal and Surojit Guha from Chennai and Nayan Shah from Calicut. Orchestral support is by Evergreen Orchestra from Calicut. The show will be compered by Premkumar of Mumbai.
