Scleroderma signs and symptoms

Scleroderma can be checked when diagnosed at an early stage

HEALTHY IMMUNE SYSTEM Look out for signs of scleroderma

The civilization of today has an edge over the previous ones with communication being the key development. That has become the lifeline of today's progress. The human body too is endowed with this potential of passing on information from and to various parts of the body. Take for example the immune system wherein the body communicates to its alma mater as and when there is an issue and raises an alarm and the protective immunity rushes to the task by producing neutralizing agents against the raiding chemical, bacteria or a virus. This fine tuned system can be sometimes disturbed and the immune system can be found to be over-reacting to some innocuous stimuli or none at all. This unwarranted response takes a toll on the human body affecting the function of some organs . This auto immune response too is responsible for the development of disorders like Scleroderma.

Scleroderma is a condition in which there is an automated response and the body tends to produce a tissue like collagen which rushes to line the tissues and various important organs . This tissue can finds its place underneath the skin in the form of fine nodules and basically in the form of thickened and rigid skin surface which shows in a typical tightening form. It may appear like a trivial and routine skin condition with discoloration, darkness and thickening and later as the areas tend to increase and the condition becomes stubborn it leads to the possibility of Scleroderma. If the similar tissue finds its way to the oesophagus or the food pipe and the rigidity does not allow the sphincter to close after each swallow there is regurgitation and heartburn. The lungs are the usual targets too. When collagen finds its way, they become rigid and the condition is called as pulmonary fibrosis and the respiration becomes a task due to non-cooperative airways and accumulation of phlegm in the exchanging tissues leading to further degeneration. The same could be a problem of the blood vessels and the rigid collagen can cause degeneration making it difficult to supply to important organs like the kidneys etc. leading to conditions like kidney failure, if the problem persists. The tiny blood vessels supplying the fingers too could be under stress and there is a loss of strength of the small joints leading to symptoms similar to the auto immune rheumatoid arthritis. The gut shows its symptoms in either the form of diarrhoea or constipation, if affected.

Scleroderma could be inherited from the parents if they carry the gene or have similar condition. It could also occur otherwise too. The challenge of treating such a condition would be to see that the disease does not progress further and affect other important organs of the body. This can be done if it is promptly identified . Symptomatic relief for the gut can be given by remedies like Nux vom, Kali bich, Robinia etc. while the skin symptoms are addressed by Sepia, Natrum Mur, Petro., Selenium etc. while the arthritis are symptoms are taken care of with Rhus Tox, Bryonia and Ruta. The respiratory symptoms are crucial and Antim tart, Stannum Met help such a scenario while the blood vessel degeneration is the prime agenda with remedies like Plumbum Met, Phos, Baryta Mur, B aryta Carb etc. More significantly breaking the development of the disease is crucial and that is best done with remedies like Calc Carb, Sepia, Platina, Lilium Tig, Natrum Mur etc. To see that this automated response does not turn into a disease of prime uneasiness, homoeopathic medicine is the safe alternative.

Sleeplessness

I am 53-year-old and suffer from sleeplessness. My mind is always crowded by ideas and business of the day. Though I do not worry much I am still unable to fall asleep.

ABC

If the mind is not tranquil and is always disturbed with thoughts and anxieties of the day, is always on the cards. Cocculus, Chamomilla, Hyoscyamus, Passiflora are a few homoeopathic remedies which can help. Consult a homeopath.
