CARNATICA IS organising some cultural events for the music season. Paddhati, an eight-day music festival begins today (December 1).
Some of its highlights are Parampara — vintage reminiscences of old masters with recordings and multi-media presentations, Pathanthara — thematic presentations and concerts by experts on various musical forms, Prasangam — panel discussions and lec-dem by eminent musicians and musicologists and Pallavi — concerts featuring top-notch musicians.
Carnatica will also honour Vedavalli, R. K. Shrikandan, Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, S. R. Krishnamurthi, Thanjavur Sankara Iyer and The Hindu.
