Dance seminar
KALA PRADARSHINI, in association with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kala Kendra, will conduct its annual dance seminar, `Nritta Makarandam,' from December 10 to December 12 (the timings are from 10.a.m. to 12 noon).
The venue will be Sri Venkata Auditiorium of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
Sonal Mansingh, chairman, Central Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi will inaugurate the seminar.
The seminar will feature lec-dems by some of the senior exponents of different dance forms of India.
Prof. C. V. Chandrasekhar will preside over the valediction. Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala of Kala Pradarshini is the Convenor of the seminar.
The following artistes will participate in the seminar: Rhadha - on Vazhuvoor tradition (December 10), Kalamandalam Kshemavathi - Chaturvidha Abhinaya in Mohiniyattam ( December 11) followed by Aruna Mohanty on the Gotipua and Odissi, Adyar K. Lakshman - aspects of nattuvangam and music in dance followed by Sharodi Saikia on Sattriya dance - An Overview ( December 12).
