We were out of the country for the past 10 years and this is our first trip to the Chennai music festival.

The programme is excellent. We wish especially the instrumental players made announcements about the composition, raga, tala and the speciality of their presentation. Kadri went on a different tune in the Kapi raga kriti swaraprasthara. We could not understand what it meant. Had he explained the same before or after, it would have been wonderful because all the listeners cannot be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of Carnatic music.
