Maiden outing

This is our first music season in Chennai and it has been wonderful so far.

Though we have also been singing in a few sabhas, we make time to attend concerts.

We feel practice is not just doing saadaka, listening is as important. And listening in on the audience is a good way to gauge the pulse of the rasikas.

It all depends on planning your time well. We will probably not hang out with our friends much this month.

But for a music lover, this season offers tough choices.

So many good musicians perform in the same slot in different sabhas.

I have taken a break from work for the Music Season. In fact, my brother Srikrishna and I have both chosen jobs that give us enough time to devote to music. We want to give it our best.
