Balancing act

A concert needs a comprehensive mix. This means there should be prathi madhyama ragas, suddha madhyama ragas, ragas from different melas, talas and so on. Though there is no hard and fast rule, I feel it would be better to avoid the sequence in which Amirthavarashini follows Kalyani or Saveri follows Mayamalagowlai. Another example would be to avoid singing Hamsadhwani after Mohanam.
